Mindy Kaling’s Guide to Killer Confidence

(Or, in the vernacular: YASSS QUEEEEEN!!)

I haven’t had the chance to read Mindy Kaling’s latest book, but I really enjoyed her first one, titled Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) and this essay captures exactly what I loved about the first book. (And I, too, like falling asleep to syndicated episodes of The Big Bang Theory. Stars: They’re Just Like Us!)

While I don’t agree 100 percent with her argument that ‘workaholics’ (her word) are vilified in our society, and unjustly so, I do really love her point: confidence is earned by working really, really hard at something. (And then not apologizing for it.)
